Health Record Exchange App Earns Second Federal Award

The Lush Group’s HealthyMePHR project has been selected as a Phase 2 winner of The Department of Health and Human Service’s Move Health Data Forward Challenge.

HealthyMePHR will allow patients to control who has access to their health data. The solution makes it easy for the patient to share data with their physicians, family members, or other caregivers.

The Move Health Data Forward Challenge is a three-phase challenge, narrowing the winners and increasing the award at each level. The Lush Group has been selected as a winner for Phase 1 and Phase 2, and now moves into the final Phase 3 challenge. Lush Group is one of just five Phase 2 winners nationally.

“In most industries, consumers can access and control their own information, said Nancy Lush, Lush Group President. “Patients, quite rightly, expect the same from the medical community.”

“Concerns about security, privacy, and data interoperability have long impeded the efficient exchanging of clinical health data, but we believe we are finally at an inflection point. By utilizing the new technical underpinnings specified by HL7 standards and HHS workgroups, HealthyMePHR will be at the forefront of a new class of solutions dedicated to improving patient engagement and well-being.

"By enabling these technologies, both patients and physicians will benefit through lower healthcare costs, less administrative effort, and improved health. There are many worthy competitors in this Challenge,” said Lush. “We are honored to be among them, working to improve health and wellness.”

The Lush Group is focused on supporting the industry with innovative solutions using FHIR integration. Targets include empowering physicians with consolidated data and decision support, patient engagement, and connecting devices and apps to clinical portals.
